Answer on My father is very unwell, he already has a pacemaker fitted (3 years ago) can you help please?
This is far too serious for anything you can do to make a difference. It sounds like heart failure with fluid retention. I am quite sure the doctors/surgeons know exactly what they can or can't do for your father, and if you talk to them ( - ask the nurses to make arrangements for you to speak to one of the doctors as soon as you can ) and if you are sensible rather than hysterical or emotional, you will get a sensible answer.
